Incredible speakers at CHO4 Regional Network Event in Cork

Mark Murphy, our Regional Lead for CHO 4, hosted his Network in the Radisson Blue Hotel, Cork on Wednesday the 15th of November.

This was a well-attended event with 40+ healthcare staff from nursing homes and palliative care services throughout Cork and Kerry. 

They were treated to excellent speakers such as Dr. Alasdair Fitzpatrick, a Cork City GP, presenting on advance care planning and its importance in the care of residents, and James O’Hagan from LGBT Ireland, who gave an impassioned talk on “Understanding the care needs of the LGBTQI+ community” in the nursing home setting.

The event wrapped up with some great fun lead by Robbie from Sing Ireland, getting the attendees vocal cords going with some group singing and highlighting how it can positively impact on their health, creativity and well-being.
