Caru Team-Building Workshop
Maynooth Community Unit Workshops
The recent workshops at Maynooth Community Unit brought together nursing home teams for a valuable opportunity to learn, share experiences and reflect on practice.
While the group was small in number, it benefited from representation from three nursing homes, including two returning participants and one home joining the workshops for the first time. The mix of perspectives contributed to rich discussions throughout the sessions, with participants generously sharing both successes and challenges from their own settings.
A key strength of the workshops was the openness and willingness of attendees to learn from one another. Through conversation and reflection, participants explored practical ways of embedding person-centred approaches in their everyday work, while building connections with colleagues from across the sector.
The workshops also included the ever-popular Marshmallow Challenge, which brought plenty of energy, creativity and teamwork to the day. What began as a fun activity quickly became a fiercely competitive contest, with one team ultimately emerging as the clear winner. While there may not have been any prizes on offer this time, there were certainly plenty of laughs and a strong sense of friendly competition.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the workshops such an engaging and worthwhile experience. We look forward to welcoming participants, both familiar and new, to future Caru learning events.
