Caru Regional Lead, Janet Tobin-Martin, speaks at staff wellbeing morning in New Haughton Hospital in New Ross.
Janet Tobin-Martin, Regional Lead CHO 5 Caru Programme, was asked to speak at a Caru Launch/Education/Staff Wellbeing morning in the New Haughton Hospital in New Ross.
This was organised by the newly established Caru group. It was an opportunity for the group to launch the programme within their organisation and invite other staff to join the team.
The Caru group, with the support of their DON Margaret Nowlan O’Neill, had refreshments, plus a raffle with some beautiful prizes for the staff, to acknowledge their hard work & dedication.
The morning was attended by a variety of staff with a lot of interest and conversation generated around the programme, and all aspects of palliative, end-of-life and bereavement care within their organisation.
The vision of the Caru Group is to establish this as a regular staff well-being and education event as part of embedding the Caru Programme in New Haughton Hospital.
A lovely morning was had by all.
